POSITION SUMMARY
Barcelona Study Abroad Experience (SAE) is seeking a passionate and relationship-driven University Relations & Assistant TODOS Coordinator to join our team and advance our mission to expand access to high-impact, global learning experiences in Barcelona. In this dynamic and outward-facing role, you’ll build meaningful partnerships with U.S. colleges and universities while advancing access and equity in education abroad through scholarship coordination and outreach. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of higher education partnerships and student equity initiatives - helping institutions create more inclusive pathways to education abroad for more students.
In this multifaceted role, you’ll manage a portfolio of college and university partners, representing Barcelona SAE at campus visits and professional conferences, and direct key aspects of our Grants & TODOS Scholarship program. You’ll be an advocate, collaborator, and problem-solver - supporting our partners while directly contributing to our award-winning TODOS (The Outcomes-Based Diversity Strategy) commitment – a national model for diversity, equity, and inclusion in international education – while playing a key role in helping more students experience the life-changing impact of our programs in Barcelona.
LOCATION & WORKING ARRANGEMENTS
- This is a remote position with travel expectations of up to 50% of the time for in-person events and campus visits.
- Our U.S. team operates Monday - Thursday (10 hours per day) - with minimal but occasional Fridays, evenings, or weekends based on business or partner needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage a portfolio of U.S. college and university partners, supporting their education abroad goals through strategic, personalized engagement.
- Represent Barcelona SAE with professionalism and enthusiasm at education abroad fairs, on-campus events, and major conferences in the field.
- Identify and cultivate new institutional partners in alignment with strategic priorities.
- Coordinate the full cycle of scholarship administration - including reviewing applications, issuing award notifications, maintaining accurate records, and liaising with the Finance Department and others.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accurate, inclusive communication with students, advisors, and colleagues.
- Lead presentations and training for partners and students, supporting outreach and increasing awareness of offerings and opportunities through partnership with Barcelona SAE.
- Participate in the company-wide TODOS Committee and contribute to the University Relations team’s annual TODOS goals.
- Independently manage travel logistics, expenses, and administrative tasks in accordance with company policies
ELEMENTS OF SUCCESS
- 3+ years of experience in higher education, international education, student recruitment, or related fields; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Strong understanding of U.S. university systems and education abroad structures.
- Demonstrated experience with scholarship programs, outreach, advising, or administration.
- A deep commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion—especially in advancing access to education abroad for more students.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across diverse audiences.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated in remote environments.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace; familiarity with CRMs (HubSpot preferred) a plus.
- A customer service mindset with the ability to anticipate partner needs and follow through effectively.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to travel regularly for work.

- Annual salary range is $50,000 – $55,000 + shared success bonus program.
